API Limitations for Google Ads

We’re committed to supporting as many social features as possible —but some capabilities simply aren’t exposed by their APIs.

We monitor every update and will unlock these features in Trovebase as soon as the platforms allow.

Data Freshness

  • Metrics Delay: Most performance metrics refresh every 1–2 hours. You may not see clicks or conversions in real time.
  • Report Generation: Large date-range exports can take several minutes to complete.

Unsupported Campaign Types

  • Shopping & Video Campaigns: Currently only Search and Display campaigns can be managed in AdBase—Shopping and Video data isn’t exposed via our integration.
  • App & Local Campaigns: Not available until Google exposes their reporting fields in the API.

Limited Search Term Data

  • No Hourly Breakdown: You can’t pull search-term performance by hour—only daily totals.

Offline & Third-Party Conversions

  • Limited Import Tracking: Offline conversions must be uploaded directly in Google Ads—AdBase can’t push them back via API.
  • No Floodlight Support: If you use Campaign Manager Floodlight tags, those metrics won’t sync.
